A.Recruitment

The company's recruitment policy is established in accordance with related laws and regulations. Appointment is decided based on the company's operational needs, work contents, and applicants' abilities. Applicants and employees are given fair opportunities without any discrimination against race, color, social class, language, faith, religion, political party, place of origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, appearance, facial features, disability, former trade union membership, or identity protected by related laws and regulations.

 

To maintain the innovation and growth, the company appoints senior employees as mentors to care for the physical and mental status of new employees and help them adapt to the working environment quickly after taking office. In addition, 104 also provides internship opportunities for students to reserve the talents.

 

New employees are required to sign a labor contract before on board to ensure the rights, obligations of employees and the employer. 104 provided labor conditions that are better than the Labor Standards Act. In addition, the company shall not limit the employees' freedom of association. Furthermore, according to the Disabilities Rights Protection Act, 104 hired more quota of disabilities than is needed.

B.Employee opinion communication channels​

Employee can share their opinions with their immediate director or their colleagues. The company also provides an employee opinion mail box as well as innovation and patent proposal center which encourages our employees to be creative and have new ideas. They can also earn substantial rewards.

C. Employee satisfaction survey

In order to make the protection and care system meet employees’ needs, 104 conducts regular employee satisfaction surveys regarding company policy, performance management, colleague relationship or salary/rewards and other different aspects. The results of these surveys allow further improvement. In August 2016, the employee satisfaction survey used six criteria and the average satisfaction score reached 4.40 points which shows their affirmation of the existing system. Based on opinion feedback, 104 proposed an improvement plan and did our best to provide a comfortable work environment for our employees.

D. Accessible complaint channels

104 regularly holds labor-management meetings according to the law to discuss labor conditions and labor welfare, so as to strengthen labor relations. In addition, the company set up channels for complaints about corruption, discrimination, sexual harassment, and disrespect on human rights; employees are also responsible and obligated to report. 104 promotes the following in the orientation training:

  • When anyone notices other employee’s conduct that is against ethical principles or employee regulations, he/she is obliged to report it to managers or related units. The company will protect the person who reports the incident or participates in the investigation so that the person will not be treated unfairly or receive retaliation.
  • While reporting, the person should use electronic email address or phone line and relate the following details: his/her name, his/her unit, the person he/she reports, that person’s unit, the incident (such as time and process), then special agents of the company will clarify the situation. 
  • The complaint channels are as follows. The company will assign the appropriate agent to contact the whistleblower to understand the situation.

  • Supervisors at different levels who are aware of employee conduct violating these regulations and do not react or deal with the problems will be considered as violating these regulations and will receive penalization as well.

D. Employee safety protection

The company established “Sexual harassment prevention and control measures and disciplinary measures” as well as complaints committee according to law. If employees have sexual harassment problems, the complaint filing process is as follows.
